.Violet’s Pride is a floribunda bred by Christian Bédard for Weeks Roses and introduced in 2017. Pointed buds open in a twirl into old-fashioned, ruffled blooms of cool lavender that warm to magenta at the heart. Each bloom is about 9–10 cm across, with 35–45 petals, and they come in small clusters. The fragrance is strong and fruity, with grapefruit and a hint of spice. It repeats from late spring through fall. The plant is vigorous, rounded and bushy, about 75–120 cm tall and 60–105 cm wide, with dense, glossy dark green foliage and very good disease resistance, as rated by the breeder. It’s a good fit for a border or a mixed bed.
