The root ball (along with all the soil) is kept intact, wrapped securely in plastic, and snuggled into protective packaging to retain moisture and prevent damage.
To reduce stress and moisture loss during transit, we gently defoliate the plant before shipping. Your rose will arrive healthy and ready to be planted.
We begin shipping potted roses in May, once the weather is consistently warm enough for safe travel. You will receive tracking information for delivery out of Windsor-Essex.
Please read our blog on Potted Rose guide. Feel free to reach out to info@thebloomlibrary.ca
Shipping pots adds extra weight and cost, which increases your total price. By securely wrapping the root ball instead, we keep the plants safe but your shipping cost lower — a win‑win!
