Savannah is a hybrid tea from Kordes in Germany, introduced in 2013 as part of its Sunbelt collection of roses selected to perform in heat and humidity. At the 2015 Biltmore Rose Trials it took three awards: Overall Best Rose, Best Hybrid Tea, and Most Fragrant Rose. The blooms are large and very double, with more than 100 petals each, in shades from soft powder pink to deep salmon, and they hold their colour well even in hot weather. The fragrance is strong, with a citrus note. It blooms continuously from early summer into fall, and the flowers are excellent for cutting. The plant is compact and upright, about 90–120 cm tall and 90 cm wide, with glossy dark green foliage that’s very resistant to black spot and powdery mildew. It’s rated hardy to zone 5 and works in beds, borders and large containers.
An award-winning, strongly scented pink hybrid tea from Kordes that blooms continuously.
