Rosie the Riveter is a floribunda from Weeks Roses, named for the wartime symbol of the women who took on factory and shipyard work during the Second World War, riveting aircraft and ships while the men were overseas.Pointed buds open into fully double, old-fashioned blooms in orange-gold suffused with pink. The outer petals can deepen to a rich pink-red, so each cluster shows a range of warm colours. The scent is moderate, fruity and spicy. It flowers freely all season, and the blooms are good for cutting. The plant is rounded and bushy, about 90–120 cm tall and 90 cm wide, with glossy dark green foliage and good disease resistance. It works as a low hedge, in containers, or in a mixed border.
A warm orange-gold and pink floribunda named for wartime working women.
