State of Grace has blooms with two tones: soft golden-apricot petals over a deep pink reverse, so the colour changes as each flower opens. The blooms are large, very full and cupped, in an old-fashioned style, 8–13 cm (3–5") across, with a moderate fruity fragrance. Christian Bédard of Weeks Roses discovered it, and it was introduced in 2018. It is a grandiflora that stays compact and rounded rather than tall and leggy, at about 90–120 cm, so the flowers sit at eye level. It repeats from late spring into fall, and Weeks rates it hardy to zone 4b, which makes it one of the more cold-hardy choices in this colour range. Its powdery mildew resistance is rated excellent. Plant it in full sun. In the colder zones, mound soil or mulch around the base for winter.

A warm apricot-and-pink rose for colder gardens, at a height where you can enjoy the blooms up close.
