St Ethelburga is a shrub rose bred by Peter Beales Roses in England, named for the medieval church of St Ethelburga-the-Virgin in Bishopsgate, London. The church was badly damaged by a bomb in 1993 and reopened in 2002 as a centre for reconciliation and peace, and this rose was created to be planted in its peace garden. The flowers are soft pink, with paler, cream-toned outer petals, and the fragrance is strong. It repeats from summer into autumn. The shrub is bushy, about 1.2 m tall and 0.5–1 m wide, with dark green leaves. It suits a mixed border, a large pot, or a compact hedge.
A strongly scented pink shrub rose with a London story of peace and rebuilding.
