Soul Sister is a compact shrub rose from Kordes’ Sunbelt collection, selected to keep performing through summer heat and humidity. Deep orange buds open into ruffled, double blooms about 7–8 cm across, in coppery apricot and peach, which soften toward amber-yellow as they age. They come in flushes from late spring to early fall, and the flowers are good for cutting. The scent is sweet. The plant is upright and bushy, about 90 cm tall and 60–90 cm wide, with healthy, leathery foliage. Its compact size suits containers, small gardens and borders, and it’s rated hardy to zone 5.
