Silver Lining is one of the cooler lavenders: spiralled buds open into silvery lilac blooms of about 35–40 petals, with a light tea fragrance. Christian Bédard bred this floribunda for Weeks Roses, and it was introduced in 2021. It forms a bushy, upright plant of about 90–140 cm, a good size for the middle of a bed or a large container. It repeats in flushes from late spring until frost. The stems are long enough to cut, and the blooms hold well in a vase. Weeks rates its resistance to rust and powdery mildew as excellent. It is hardy to about zone 6. In zone 5 and colder, mound soil or mulch over the graft for winter.
A lavender rose for anyone who likes it silvery and soft rather than purple.
