Plum Perfect is a floribunda from Kordes, part of its Sunbelt collection of roses selected to perform in heat and dry conditions. Short, pointed buds open into clusters of fully double, old-fashioned blooms with ruffled petals in a smoky plum-lavender, a colour that's hard to find in roses. Each bloom is about 5–7 cm across and carries a mild, sweet scent with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant. It repeats from early summer into fall. The plant is self-cleaning, so spent petals drop on their own and there's little deadheading to do. It's upright and bushy at about 90–120 cm, with glossy medium green foliage, and suits a border, a container or a low flowering hedge. Hardy to zone 5.
