Perfume Factory lives up to its name: the fragrance is strong, fruity and spicy. Plum-coloured buds open into large magenta blooms, about 10 cm (4") across with 40–50 petals, that soften to lavender-pink at the edges as they age. Tom Carruth bred it for Weeks Roses, and it was introduced in 2020. Its seed parent is Neptune, another fragrant lavender hybrid tea. The plant is bushy and upright with dark green, semi-glossy leaves. Weeks rates its resistance to powdery mildew and rust as excellent. It repeats through the season from early summer, and the long stems make it a good cutting rose for the house. Plant it in full sun with good airflow. It is hardy to about zone 6b, so in colder parts of Canada mound soil or mulch over the graft for winter.
A rose for fragrance lovers who also like their colour on the purple side.
