Marriotta is a miniature rose bred by Sam McGredy in New Zealand, and exhibitors have shown it for decades. Red buds open into small, full, deep pink blooms about 4 cm across, with pale-pink-to-white tips on the petals and a touch of gold at the centre. The flowers open flat in small clusters and repeat in flushes from late spring to fall. The scent is mild. The plant is tidy and bushy at about 30–45 cm tall, with small semi-glossy leaves. It suits a container, the front of a border or a small garden, and the little blooms work well in posies and small arrangements. Like most miniatures it benefits from winter protection in colder zones.
A small pink-and-white miniature with a long show history.
