Life of the Party is a floribunda bred by Tom Carruth for Weeks Roses. Its blooms open soft lemon-yellow, and two or three days later the petal edges blush pink, so every cluster shows both colours. The flowers are very full, with 55 to 65 petals in a cupped, old-fashioned shape, and the scent is strong, fruity and citrusy. It flowers in waves from late spring to fall and makes a good cut flower. The plant is compact, rounded and dense at about 90–120 cm, with dark green foliage and good disease resistance. Its size suits containers, small gardens and low hedges. It does best in heat and sun. It's hardy to zone 6, and in zone 5 and colder it needs winter protection.
