Easy Does It is a floribunda from the Harkness family of England, and it was the only All-America Rose Selections winner of 2010. To win, it went through two years of trials in 23 gardens across the US and was judged on disease resistance, beauty and ease of care. The blooms are large for a floribunda, up to 9 cm across, with lobed, frilly petal edges that make each open flower look ruffled. The colour changes as the flowers age: buds start deep orange, then pass through mango, apricot, peach-pink and touches of raspberry. The petals hang on long enough for the full colour change to show. The scent is sweet and fruity, moderate to strong. Flowers come in clusters and repeat in waves all season. The plant is upright, bushy and vigorous at about 90–120 cm, with glossy foliage that resists black spot, mildew and rust. The stems are thorny, so wear gloves when deadheading. It suits a border, a low hedge or a large patio pot.
