Double Ambre is a floribunda bred in Canada by Brad Jalbert and introduced by Select Roses in 2021. It produces clusters of very full, English-style blooms about 8 cm across, in warm amber-orange shading to peach, and the colour holds rather than fading. The scent is light and sweet, with notes of green apple and honey. It flowers heavily in repeat waves from late spring until late in the fall, and a single cut stem makes a small bouquet. The plant is compact, upright and bushy at about 90 cm tall and wide, with glossy dark green foliage that resists mildew well. It's also cold hardy, sold in a cold-hardy collection rated to zone 4, so it suits gardens in much of Canada. It fits borders, low hedges and containers.
