Desdemona is a David Austin English rose from 2015 and one of the whitest roses in their range. Peachy-pink buds open to white, chalice-shaped blooms with a faint blush in the early stages. The petals curve inward, so each flower holds some shadow at its centre. The fragrance is strong: an Old Rose scent with hints of almond blossom, cucumber and lemon zest. The flowers repeat in flushes from early summer through fall and are held on strong stems, so they're good for cutting. The shrub is neat, rounded and bushy at about 1.2 m tall and 90 cm wide, which suits a border, a low hedge or a large container.
A white English rose with a strong Old Rose scent.
