Crazy Love comes from Kordes' Sunbelt series, roses chosen for heat tolerance, colour that doesn't fade, and continuous bloom. It was bred by Tim Hermann Kordes and released in Germany in 2013 as La Villa Cotta. Each bloom is very full, with 125 to 135 petals, and its colour changes as it ages. The flowers open copper-yellow in the centre, ringed with pale pink outer petals, and shift toward peach, orange and soft pink. That gives the plant a mix of colours at once. The flowers come in large clusters, about 9–10 cm across, and repeat in flushes from early summer to fall. The plant is upright and bushy, around 90–120 cm tall, with semi-glossy medium green foliage. It handles hot, humid summers well, and the long-lasting blooms are good for cutting. The scent is light.
A heat-loving grandiflora in copper, peach and pink.
