Beloved is a classic red rose bred in Canada. Brad Jalbert of Select Roses in Langley, BC bred this hybrid tea, and Select Roses introduced it in 2015. It produces candy-apple red, high-centred blooms in the florist style, about 10 cm (4") across, mostly one to a long stem, with a light tea fragrance. The blooms last well on the bush and in a vase, so it’s a good rose for anyone who wants to cut red roses from their own garden. It grows as an upright, bushy plant of about 90–150 cm, with deep green foliage, and repeats from summer into fall. It is rated to zone 5. If your plant is grafted, mound soil or mulch over the graft for winter in colder regions.
